Jugo de piña y tomate de arbol (Pineapple and Tree Tomato Juice)

Sweet pineapples and tart tree tomatoes* complement each other in this juice. The color of the latter brings out a festive environment. Great for parties served in decorative tall glasses with pieces of fruit to decorate, or in small pineapples that where the fruit has been scooped out to make the juice. Tree tomatoes are sold in specialty and Latino grocery stores

Ingredientes:
  • 2 cups peeled, diced pineapple
  • 1 tree tomato*, peeled and diced (about ¼ to1/3 cup)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 to 2 cups crushed ice
How to prepare:
  1. Place the fruits in a blender with the sugar and 1 cup of ice. Puree until smooth and serve immediately.

  2. Add the second cup of ice if you want a lighter smoothie, or serve over crushed ice.
