Ingredients for servings:

azucar morena

1/4 cup

Light brown sugar

mantequilla

4 tablespoons

Butter

cafe liofilizado

1 teaspoon

Freeze-dried or granulated instant coffee

nuez

1 1/2 cups

Pecan halves

  1. 1/4 cup light brown sugar

  2. 4 tablespoons butter

  3. 1 teaspoon freeze-dried or granulated instant coffee

  4. 1 1/2 cups pecan halves


Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.

  2. Combine the sugar, butter, and coffee in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil then remove from the heat. Add the pecans and mix well to coat.

  3. Spread the nuts on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven, stir with a fork, and set aside to cool for 10 minutes.

  4. Keep 8 pecans whole for decoration; process the rest in the food processor for 10 seconds to crush. Store in airtight containers or sealed plastic bags.
