OH! Great, great flavor. Keep these on hand for unexpected events. Place them over ice cream with cookies, serve a couple alongside a nice, hot cappuccino, or decorate a cake with them. They go very far.
Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
Combine the sugar, butter, and coffee in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil then remove from the heat. Add the pecans and mix well to coat.

Spread the nuts on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven, stir with a fork, and set aside to cool for 10 minutes.
Keep 8 pecans whole for decoration; process the rest in the food processor for 10 seconds to crush. Store in airtight containers or sealed plastic bags.
