In a sauté pan over low cook the onion in the oil for 2 to 3 minutes, add the garlic, salt, pepper and spices and cook 1 minute more. Turn the heat off, scrape and trasfer to a blender. Add the yogurt and maple syrup and blend to a creamy texture. Can be served as is or cool.
